Does anyone know what output engines are needed for that Valiant?

It's all here RLN - 2 Jetcat 120 Turbines

http://www.per-ardua-ad-astra.co.uk/html/valiant_beginnings.html

Later that same year ..........

Here's 2 more Jetcat turbine engines - in 2 Large scale Red Arrows Hawks with brothers Steve & Matt Bishop flying as close to formation as you can get - smoke too :D

Unfortunately one of the models crashed spectacularly at another show (1:42)

And here's a brilliant large 1/3rd scale model of Carolyn Grace's ML407 2 seater - I think it's the largest Spit model in the world :D

What a shame they can't make a model aircraft engine sound like a MERLIN! :-o

Absolutely - couldn't agree more - there have been experiments with on board sound systems to make it sort of sound 'real' ;)

More suited to electric planes obviously - if memory serves me rightly there is a very successful large scale Beaufighter or similar with on board sound that is very close to sounding right.

It's like model battle ships on lakes - you can have a most beautiful super scale 8ft cruiser correct in every detail serenely ploughing across a lake - but a speedboat goes by and the cruiser bobs up and down in the wake like a rubber duck in a bath - most un-scale :D :p

Yikes... the owner must have been gutted at that Red Arrows smash.

Controller failure or A/C failure ? What was the outcome... anyone know ?

Only the ones they bring to East Kirkby, which sadly the weather has been pants for both times so only seen a limited selection :(
But they are rather good, but I'm still curious why at the last EK show they shoved a tin of sweet corn inside the B-17 :))
