Waddington 2012. Video, pics and random ramblings.

If you have a spare hour :))

Here's all the footage I took on Sunday.

And a catch up video of Fridays arrivals.

Normally I would make several shorter videos, but I couldn't decide what to put in what video so I just lumped them in one :))

It was a funny sort of day, I never even made it to the crowd line, we just wandered around aimlessly for 6 hours :)) but it was good, first time I've done that, I actually got to see in the hangars. Had a really nice glass of freshly squeezed lemonade too mmmmm and some crayfish tails :))
Bought a signed copy (the Author) of the Red Arrows book, an excellent book btw, well worth the £20 :ymapplause: :ymapplause: and a couple of prime time videos, the Coningsby one (1994-2001) is particularly good :D
We only walked as far as Hangar 4 then I realised I had forgotten my spare memory card, it was in the car, but by the time we made it back to the car it was gone 4 and I just couldn't be bothered to go back to the show as we were parked right at the back of the Blue car park (past Sentry dispersal) and I had been caught in a down pour and I was soaked :)) .

BUT I went in the Belgium C-130 :X :X =P~ =P~ \:D/ \:D/ That was my high light :D

I do like this pic of the AN2 though

Other than that, not really any others to post, they were mostly rubbish :)) :)) Combination of me, the weather and being too far from the crowd line.

They're here if anyone does want to see, I won't be offended if no one does though :))

I really enjoyed all of the displays, Black Eagles were brilliant, as were the Reds. Typhoon was :ymapplause: :ymapplause: I missed the Italians but did see them on the Friday and I really like them.
I really liked the Red Devils and the Polish ones too, just a shame I was so far away when they were displaying :(
And I'm totally in love with the Wedgetail pilot =P~ :))

But once again (3rd year running) we encountered zero traffic arriving and leaving, we droved straight on to the base in the morning, then when we left about 5pm we drove straight off, so no idea where people find the jams :)) :)) So well done to who ever looks after the traffic control.

My one and only smallish complaint is that they need a couple of porter loos at the back of the blue car park, as it's literally miles to the nearest ones =)) that mainly comes from mum, but I agree :D :))

I will mention the loos Helen ;) - I missed this post sorry.
will look later.

I went through the E3D Saturday morning, then just as I stepped out the cockpit got soaked so headed back to the car to dry off and pick my brolly up, and for some reason never got back to that end of the static. :(

Every time I went past the Sentry the queue was all the way along the back of the fence and around the Wedgetail :)) it never seemed to get any smaller, so I still havn't been on board :(( Mum rubs it in every time that she's been on one (the French one a couple of years ago) and I havn't =))

Being so far down one end means we only got a far as the Phantom part of the statics. I've no idea what I missed down that end.

It was the training aircraft statics in the mains - Hawk T2???, Reds and Saudi hawk, the Hunter was also there and the Gnat - which reminds me I haven't downloaded my static pics and I took one of the Gnats rear end that hit the ground on arrival.
