All I can say is bite the bullet and go, because this will end one day as well. Then you would kick yourselves. Standing within 20 yards of a Lightning at full chat is an experience I will cherish until the day I die.

May even light the external lights on the guppy. Looks good in the dark ;)

I'd like to go, but I'll have to count the pennies nearer the time. Got a holiday to get out of the way before then!

Can put a poster of the event in my shop window if there's any going?

Looking at the poster, I'd assume it'd be ok? It says under 16's get in free. I took my little ones to RIAT without attempting to book for them. Not quite the same scale, but my theory remains the same :D

I was about to bump this one back to the top......................

Who is actually going then????? My ticket will be booked in the next 48hrs. I just hope there is no fuel strikes/protests that weekend seeing as its a 320mile round trip/7hrs total drive according to the AA route planner :( :(

If cost is a problem and you need an alternative, I'd consider giving you and your Dad a lift if you want to split the costs? I drive a 7 seater, so space won't be an issue (I've even got a built in DVD entertainment system, so I can provide in flight entertainment ;) ).

Cluny wrote:Il be there as long as ive got money for fuel .

Cluny, if money is still an issue or not and you want a lift then I don't mind taking a small detour en-route to pick you up on the way seeing as I'm going via the A34 right past Bicester.

Bugger, just realised I cropped the quote....... :p ;) :D

Thanks, thats a very kind offer :)
the problem would be whether we could go rather than how we would go as my dad is also (i believe) going to coventry again soon
i even offered to pay for dad's ticket :))

What's the weather got to do with whether you go?
