That last one - profile of the bum more like :))
Nice set of pics.

I was there yesterday as well - a very pleasant day out and some great displays including the balloon bursting comp. I was cheering for Sandy T in the Cessna and he was last - LOL :((

We were very lucky weather wise - the rain just missed us :D I expect today was a bit of a washout for them.

I'd add some pics if I had any decent ones but thanks to a really useless camera - I don't. :( Don't buy a panasonic TZ7 if you want a "point n shoot" to use in bright conditions. Lack of a view finder renders it pretty hopeless!

edit to add - can't find you website Jim?

Excellent pics Lucas with some lovely light! What kit are you using? I don't suppose you could tell me what settings you had on for the majority, especially for the Supermarine Spit shot? I am always interested in bettering my skills when I see pics like this! :D

Thumper, thanks for the comments. The Spitfire shot was taken by D200 with a 300mm Prime lens. The Exposure time was 1/250 seconds, on Shutter Priority, F-Stop 5.6 and exposure bias at +2.3. I had to let a little more light in, the sun had clouded, the background went very white giving the aircraft the sillouette effect. Hope it helps. I aslo use a D50 with a 18-200 VR lens.

Cheers.

Jim.

Cool! Thanks Lucas thats great. I really want to start producing some decent shots this year but I get so confused with all the settings so I just leave it on shutter priority and change the speed, everything else is auto. I got a headache at Shuttleworth trying to understand metering ~x(

Beautiful photo's though, really love them... even the PVC clad butt shot is OK ;)

I still have to keeping changing the settings, the light to start with was brill , behind me, broken cloud for definition, then it changed. Made me have to work for the shot.

I like this one,

Have to admit we had a good view of the flying On Saturday while on a visit to a friends farm just along the road. Made a change from getting deafened by the guys at Leuchars Which is not flying as much theses days due probably to the limited number of Tornadoes at the base or the ash restrictions . I forgot this was on so no pics as cameras were 40 miles away. Now there would be a place for an Iconic meet

That would just be another one that Spitfire would moan about not being able to reach!!! ;)
