We had a problem with the fuel tanks/pipework with a leak from the 4-group which slowed down proceedings a bit in the morning. :(

We found a way round that and had a successful second run in the afternoon with all four engines tested up to the cruise governor (one at a time). :)

I think our guests (last weeks 558 Club visit raffle winner plus an invitee from here) enjoyed their day at Wellesbourne. Xpl may have some pics to post when he gets home. \:D/

In my tired state It was remiss of me NOT to thank my hosts at Wellesbourne, A BIG thank you to Eric and Charles and all at MaPS.

It was a great day, nice and relaxed although a very professional way of doing things which was a GREAT pleasure to behold.

I really hope what we have been working on comes together!

THANK YOU!

Hi all.

As sooty has said we had the gremlins with us Saturday morning but we got round them and had a good day.
The first EGR was low power with engines run to 40% with sooty in the P1 seat and Fred in P2,Charles down the back with xpl and me on the long lead outside. The second run was up to the cruise govenor with the engines running up to approx 97% and all was well, then with Fred in P1 and me in P2 Charles down the back with our vip and sooty on the long lead we were cleared by the tower for a brake check so with chocks pulled me and Fred had a go each at moving 655 a few feet to exercise the brakes (great stuff). :D :D

cc.
I only do it with a long lead.
