Looks more and more certain that the Flying
Dutchman Connie WILL be at Waddington.....

With any luck, I expect she may make several UK dates
this summer......

FIXED!

Don't know, still working on it, lots of puzzle pieces......

Anyhow, here's the aircraft and some of the people
you might get to meet:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbWA0sTX ... re=related

Ain't she sweet??????

Dan4th

I have triple-checked and it's all correct by me. YouTube disagrees,
however. Let's try the above edit, okay? If "malformed" again,
I'll just try again later.....

SM:

Isn't it reassuring to know that at least SOME
EU members have their priorities on straight!

Dan4th

EDIT: Well, here's a new one from Nederland. Their
Hangar Door is a little too narrow for the wings, so
they have to take her out catty-cornered.

Nice Clip! Especially on HD and full-screen!

I've never been certain about that front-leg
camber thing, but I'm fairly sure that in a
turn either way, the INSIDE wheel is the only
one in contact with the surface. More grip that
way -- or something....

Pam: You and DT have GOT to go up and say
hello to those Nederlanders! They seem to be a
very congenial bunch!

God Bless Kelley Johnson! Murkin or not, he gave
ALL of us some Bee-you-tee-full things to look at.....

Spitfire: Like those rounded wingtips? Straight off
the P-38!

Where you been lately, btw????????

that clip that you posted Danf - it clearly shows, whilst being manœuvred by the tug, only one front wheel in contact with the ground

as goes Clog-wearers - if ALL Europeans were like the Dutch, I'd be proud to call myself European - but as long as we have the Frogs........... :p

in all the time that i spent working at Schiphol Airport, i never found any Dutch that i didn't get on with - a hugely decent bunch of people! :ymapplause:

SM:

Well, I know from personal experience that the Clog
Wearers like YOU guys a lot more than their neighbo(u)rs
on the Continent!

HELL! They ALL speak ENGLISH (sort of...)....

more than that Danf...

when i applied for my airside pass at Schiphol, i was astonished to find that the forms i had to fill in were printed in Dutch on one side, and English on the other. when i expressed my surprise to the clerk dealing with it, she told me that ALL official forms in Holland are like that - it's the LAW! :-o

Holland is an extremely well organised, polite and engaging place. i really wish that i could've spent more time there, other than seeing the inside of an airport 24/7 :((
