Bit poor if you ask me as they had a lock out year before last.

To be fair Nick, 558 does take a large percentage of the budget of any airshow. If Cosford has not had an increase in theirs or indeed if it has actually been cut something has to give and the 'lock out' may even have been detrimental by costing much more in policing. Not saying that's the reason but without knowing the reason for the decision it's difficult to judge.

Not quite what you hoped for Nick but hope this helps a bit ;)

"Subject to suitable weather and no technical issues, we plan to be airborne this Sunday and there will be two great vantage points for our supporters to see XH558. We ask that you adhere to these two locations to avoid any major disruption to the attendees of the Falklands Memorial dedication in Staffordshire, as we carry out a flypast in honour of those that were affected by the conflict.

Your best opportunities of viewing will be either at Robin Hood Airport around 11.30am, or, if you are in the Midlands, at RAF Cosford, near Wolverhampton. XH558 is expected overhead the airfield at 12.25pm, followed just over 30 minutes later by the BBMF Lancaster. With several other attractions and free admission to the museum, this would make a great day trip for the whole family"

Edit: I hope to be at Finningly for 11am ish.
