Flying Legends Sunday 10.07.2011 Pics & Vids

Hi all

As my dad had always wanted to visit a Flying Legends show i decided we would make the trip down to Duxford as a treat for him. The weather looked really good for this Sunday and we were both looking forward to a great show nether of us knew how it was to turn out!!

So to start some general pics from the show



























So to the first accident of the day that went to the triplane replica which touched its wing on the ground on landing and ended upright on its nose These pics show the aircraft after she had be up the right way up its amazing how little damage there was you can see a fold in the top of the wing where it stuck the ground. Intresting to see what aircraft they parked it next to!







So we all now know how the day ended first a few pics of the French owned AD-4N Skyraider 124143. These pics were taken about an hour after the crash just before they moved the stricken machine away

Hi mate

Yes it is something I hope I don't ever experience again it was a terrible moment as people realised what they were seeing!! Thank goodness that all was well in the end
