Marham Familie's day 12-8-10

Postby Sickbag_andy » Fri Aug 13, 2010 8:31 am

Here are some of my pics from today at Marham ,all taken from outside the airfield near the north east end of runway 24, the weather was Iraqi to say the least, i.e. sunny at times but otherwise shi-ite!
The Hunter and Dak performed in a storm (yet the hunter pilot had his cockpit open for part of his display) but it just about stopped raining by the time the vulcan displayed. 90% of my vulcan photos were useless as they were out of focus, I'd had trouble trying to photo aircraft as they came ofer the tree line as the camera kept focusing on the trees rather than the aircraft so switched to manual focus (trying to be clever) and like an idiot forgot to go back to auto, iif the vulcan fund had a swear box I would have filled it single handedly! I've put some of them on here but even if the others had been in focus they wouldnt have been great but I suppose anything is better than nothing.
The vulcan display was awesome especially the missed aopproach and power climb out, thanks guys for making it through the storm.
Here's the pics roughly in show order:

Hawks (2 different ones)

Nice to see the Hawk there - I hear the role demo is as good if not better than the display was!

Thanks Andy

Helen, both M.F. and I planned to go but were put off by the weather and M.F. had Family commitments!
