HEADS UP for viewing outside fences!!!

Postby Mayfly » Sat Jul 10, 2010 7:14 am

Especially Yeovillton this weekend.......

There have been 2 -3 threads recently on other fora about the public viewing airshows outside venue boundaries - particularly with people standing under the approach lights and runway centre line.......

Evidently Yeovillton has asked the farmer to prevent public access to his field, - which he has done because aircrews have voiced their concerns about flying over the public on approach.

An on going saga that keeps raising it's head..
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

I can certainly understand the pilots concerns. Yeovilton looks very open on the approach

No more of these appearing on youtube from today then?????

It had to come, what with the YOUTUBE effect and more openness via the internet!

Safe/DANGER areas may be roped off, but understandably right under the approach end will always be pushing the boundaries a little.

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”
