BBMF Lancaster @ Bletchley Park

Postby Thumper » Sat Sep 04, 2010 6:57 pm

Was checking the BBMF website today to get dates for the Hurricane, Spit & Lanc appearing at Bletchley Park on 9th and 10th September as Mayfly informed me of the dates (thank you!) Much to my surprise the Lancaster was appearing today and tomorrow. Now then, I was reading the website at 14:10pm and the Lancaster was appearing today at 14:25 :-o

My motorbike goes really fast =))

As ever a beautiful sight. Lovely low display, she was only supposed to do a flypast but got 3 go arounds! \:D/ I also managed to catch a decent topside shot which has evaded me whenever I have seen her :D

Thanks Mayfly, you had a very LARGE part to play, I wouldn't have been on the website had it not been for you! :D

Everything still seems set for next weekend as well with the Spit and Hurri doing a flypast on the Thursday and the Lanc doing one on the Friday so it's going to be aviation heaven here for a full week! \:D/

All I need to do now is fix that bloody bike of mine that broke down 6 times on the way home ~x( I think it was the thrashing it got to see the Lanc on time, took offense to my heavy right hand :))

LOL Jiggy =))

Just one way of helping .
MF It is a a heritage site and from memory most of it is grade2 listed but they still need to raise somewhere over £1 million to save as much as possible .They also got a lottery grant a while ago can't recall how much though
