Ive seen similar, but NEVER with the smoke trails .... it really shows how CRAZY it is!

Yes it's clear from the smoke that at times there is no conventional lift at all - and sometimes for quite a while :-o

The pilot must have to have the confidence that raw power to weight ratio will recover him.

Saw something similar at Fairford '06. It's all to do with vectored thrust.

Yep they say now that the only limiting factor in aircraft design nowadays is the squidgy organic component in the cockpit =))

What it can stand the plane can do (&more)
