OLDER HARRIERS

Postby Xplumberlives » Mon Nov 08, 2010 5:22 pm

Whilst looking through the loft at the request of SWTSMBO, I found some relatively old photographs, finally got around to scanning them and thought you might enjoy a look. Please excuse the poor quality of the images!

Having dressed in my flying gear, I am just completing the last of the paperwork with John, one of the Safety Equipment guys.

Up in the air at 11000 feet over Eastern Scotland.

Wing Commander Steve Forward flying on our wing while being checked out by my Pilot on a Standard bombing sortie.

On the ground at Wittering sits a GR1 facsimile from the OLD DAYS.

During the HEAVY BOMBING phase of 233 OCUs course we would routinely deploy to WEST FREUGH near Portpatrick to use the nearby range.
Here we are fitting a 1000 pounder with laser guidance equipment to 33.
Image
And a similar fit to 36.
Image
And then 53.

Out on the pan with 1000 pounders fitted.

GR7 in the old green colour scheme carrying 6 shot CVR7 pods, taxying past our next load of 1000 pounders

And one low pass on his way in to fire off two pods of CVR7 rockets.

If and when I find some more I will post them for your enjoyment.
