aircraft/airframe fatigue life

Postby Hihonyr8811 » Sat Aug 29, 2009 1:32 pm

Before I enter into any kind of argument with the person in my video, I thought I'd get some expert opinions :)

broncoov10a (1 hour ago)

Ive had the pleasure of heavy checking many many types of airframes. You are entitled to your opinion, but any airplane can be flown forever. The CAA is a cupcake org.
PERIOD.
I mean you Brits have to go to frikin South Africa to see a lighting or a Bucc fly?
Please...

That was in response to me stating that the Victor was out of hours.

Any help much appreciated, or infact feel free to comment on the vid, might be better.

OK

How can anyone argue against the safety record of the CAA, they make policy that saves lives!

I would love to see some of the Buccs flying here and watch closely the one that is waiting to get back in the air again in this country, it is only waiting for a change in the economoic climate.

How's this?

Are you being serious?
It isn't an opinion, it's scientific fact lol that over time and under stress, metal fatigues. The Victor was retired from the RAF (who do not come under the CAA btw) because they were out of hours, that too is fact, you can read it in any book on the V-force.
Also let me reiterate that these are PRIVATE aircraft run by volunteers, there is no funding from the government or the MOD, there is no money to put them in the air *see Vulcantothesky.org*

I ran out of space lol so I'll have to do two comments if I add anything :D

I'd love to see the HHAs Bucc fly, it's ready to go so I hear, they just need to contract it to someone, won't be displayed sadly :(

Very good young lady, be careful when playing with such pillocks though! ;)

Ask him what experience he has on what types of aircraft and remind him that there are old pilots and bold pilots but NO OLD BOLD PILOTS! :ymapplause:

Good luck

technically you can fly anything until it falls aprt in the air, but anyone with any intelligence wouldn't want to, and it appeasr that is what he is lacking.

Helen:

Please let me apologize on behalf of that........
that.........that.........well, you get the
picture.

Irony is that CAA and FAA communicate all
the time, and their regs and procedures
have become over the years very similar!

The guy is the kind of gung ho knob who gets lots of Marines killed by pressing on with a task that should not be done. He is the kind of c**k who gives the US forces a bad name for "can do" actions that lead to friendly fire (always a strange term) incidents and the like.

We need no lessons from Dweebs like him! X(

You have two replies ;)

I'll put them here in case anyone wants to jump in :)

vnck25

Well yes true it was faster than the
MIG -21 but still its was no mach for the MIG 25. An the English Lightning was not English it was Irish the damn British stole the idea from an Irish Areonautics Engineer

And mine

Hihonyr8811

Erm, the Lightning P1 was designed by W. E. W. (Teddy) Petter, who was English, and EE's chief engineer at the time.

I dunno whether I'm right or not lol :D got that off one of the lighning sites :ymblushing:
