Still undecided if I should go or not. I always complain because of shooting into the sun & I won't battle the 'pros' on the mound...... I feel intimidated by the size of my lens!!! =)) =)) =))

At least you have a lense :p =))

We're not sure where we're going yet.
We might just go to the picnic area near the castle.

yeah on the A153 oppisite the lakes and the caravan park, that's the only one I know of (half way between Tattershall bridge and the Castle, where the old railway used to run).
Has a snack bar and toilets :)) unlike the viewing area at Coningsby =)) Although I see Adrian and the buger van will be there today.

Any idea what could have taken off from waddington, surely it's too early to be forming up for the flypast?

My girlfriend wants to go shopping around the time the flypast will be coming over so I've persuaded her to go shopping near Colchester which is nearer the route than Harwich where she originally wanted to go and isn't near anything :D

She's already asked why I have charged my camera :))

I thought you had forgotten what a BURGER VAN was! :p

Might be one of the WHIPPERS IN, who check formations as they build up! ;)

I positioned myself in what I thought would be an ideal spot between Hatfield Peverel and Terling in Essex ready for the flypast but unfortunately although I had a good view I was just to the north of the flight line and ended up on the 'dark side' of the aircraft which coupled with mainly grey skies and grey aircraft didn't make for ideal photographic conditions, anyway I've loaded the pics onto a page on my Guppy site (far quicker that photobucket) and here's a link to them:

Fish and chips, sun and aircraft, pretty good afternoon \:D/ :D

This was taken from the picnic area on the A153 just before Tattershall right in the middle of eating our fish and chips :)) , perfect timing :D :)) , not the best view as the next photo in the sequence has a tree in it =))
Image

Then we had a tootle round coningsby - New York - down dogdyke road past the viewing area, took one look at the cars and kept going =))
So we went to the old tattershall bridge.

My favorite photo from today :))

The hunter was displaying as we were eating and the JP as we were tootling around Coningsby =))
We left just before the blades ran into display (althoug we did stop and watch from further down the river towards Woodhall) as mum wanted to watch the flypast that I recorded lol :))

Brize familes day was ok despite the jobsworth military plods best efforts [we ignored them and stood by the side of the road anyway] ;)
Nice to meet the Stig , sorry i wasn't very coversational [ thats just me , i dont say much :)) ] :(
Highlight for me has to have been a tie between the run and brake of the Dutch F-16 [im still deaf] and Tom Blairs Spit Mk9 B-)
Anyway , heres the flypast at our end ;)

Right now im off to rough it at Cosford for the rest of the weekend ;)

If you had planned to get a shot like that.... it would never have happened in a million years !!! Not a photographic blooper.. just a lucky split second :D

A good contender for the caption game too ;)
