I had the fortune (or misfortune) of seeing the Hunters disbanded at RAF Brawdy.
A superb flypast and a lovely sound that will always stay with me.
I also used to do FOD plods around the perimeter and me and a mate would lie under the catch nets whilst Hunters, Hawks, Seakings and visiting aircraft landed or took off right over us. Happy days.

When the Hunters finally left RAF Honington I was lucky enough to get the last sortie in the last one to leave, the pilot was the Hunter flying instructor and it was fabulous, he did every type of aero it was capable of and then handed me the the controls and told me to do them all as well. Only scary bit was when we came to land, he had asked for air traffic to talk him down, everytime they asked him to confirm '3 greens' for the landing gear he kept acknowledging, even as we came onto the final approach, by now my hand was creeping towards the yellow and black handle between my legs and if he had said any word that began with 'E' I would of gone . But just as the main wheels were going to touch down the nose leg locked down, when we stopped on the pan he asked me why I looked nervous, when I told him he laughed and said that the landing gear is allways slow to lock down and it had never let him down yet.

Also the guys that saw us in asked the pilot what G I had managed and when told 6.5, they were cheesed of that I had not blacked out or been sick ;)

Not Lucky ;) really when you consider the ones I missed out on getting my hands on :(( ;

Lightning in Malta, went U/S while getting ready to fly in it and by the time it was serviceable it was to late.
F16 exchange squadron while hosting them at Coningsby, went U/S while getting ready to fly in it and by the time it was serviceable it was to late.
Tornado GRs and F3s, every time it was my time the rules changed or the time changed so only got to do flight sim flying on these.
Chinook, after the first ground crew had a go they decided it was not going to happen again, just as I was next to have a go.

Ok I am not going to win any of this really :p so I'll go with Jammy Git as I have had quite a few trips in things on top of those I had to fly in or carry out in flight testing in :D

Landing on motorways, excellent. :ymapplause:

Can you imagine that happening in the UK?
A Typhoon makes a perfect landing on a UK motorway, only to be written off after ingesting 1 million orange cones into the engine intakes! =))
This is my sig:

I hope it's not too inflammatory and I hope that certain people wont completely misunderstand it like they did with the last one.
