This is too bad, we can't afford to lose too many of these...

I just got home from a trip and saw this :(

Lucky pilot though, he made it out.

Thanks Len, it's been widely reported over here, glad the pilot made it out ok with the help of Martin Baker!

Ya, that's one great ejection seat! I was away so I didn't hear about it until today. I was in Louisiana for the opening of a 357th FG museum. Chuck Yeager was there and had a chance to meet him. I was supposed to have a ride in a P51 but it had ignition troubles just before it was to come! What a disappointment! Oh well, some other time I guess...

Yes, that was the Yoxford Boys. I'm at work right now but I'll send a bunch of info and photos later. The artwork is going slow right now, summer is so busy. We only have 3 or 4 months of nice weather so we have to do everything we want to do outside fast!

If you search for 357th FG Museum in Ida, LA you'll find some info on it. It's a very small town but they really got a lot of people out for it (I'd say over 2000). Fantastic!

Wow, awesome pictures!!! I'm going to use those as a reference for my next artwork when I need an explosion :)

I'm sure glad the pilot got out of that!

Shame you lost your flight, meeting the great man must have been cool. Don't know if its your first ride you missed or if you fly them single. :( I would have been gutted if I didn't get my flight in the wild horse. I went to Stallion 51 in June, they have more than one twin sticker and you actually get to fly it once its off the ground and in the climb, right back to touchdown with full high "G" aeros too, AWESOME. :D :D

15 hours ago 3 @trumpeteerTralala hehe. I think you meant "eject". I don't think pilots get paid to ejaculate, otherwise I'd be first in line for that job.
