Missing Aircraft

Postby Delhud » Fri Mar 26, 2010 4:50 am

Hi Folks

I`ve followed the various discussions etc about the TSR2 and the follies of our pollies as it were

Well I had a look recently at another " missing aircraft " the North American XB 70 known to you all no doubt
as the Valkerie ( I think ) and I wonder as we have with the TSR2 whether this beautiful looking aircraft
would have made the grade as a super bomber had the pollies not scrapped it and kept the venerable
B52 instead
True we must have experiments in order to progress but I suggest there must be a better way of
learning than this type of piecemeal activity on both sides of the ditch

About the only thing that helps me
be not quite so disappointed with
things like this is that the technology
lives on -- shoulders of giants and all
that stuff......

At least TSR2 and XB-70 got to fly!

(...a little)

I like to do my planning retroactively!
