4 small planes past my house (in the distance) heading towards Bourne (or that direction). May have been the Blades, or similar. Couldn't see any colour on them. Took a picture or two. Will see what I can make out.

EDIT:
They are the Blades. Can make out the orange colour on them. Photo has been cropped to bring aircraft closer. It is the best I can do :(.

A friend of mine went to Coningsby today and went on the BBMF tour. Just before they left, XH558 flew over the the airfield.

I was minding my own business ( :-o ) chatting with the little princess in the garden when I heard a wonderful sound.......... I looked skywards and there, flying quite low was a Herc \:D/ I legged it round the back of the house, yelled Cam to GET HERE NOW! (the only language to get a 15yr old boy off his butt anytime soon) and he was :-o too!

We stood, very quiet, watching it saunter across the sky......

Didn't have my phone handy let alone my camera - sorry guys.

Naddy, I'm surprised a 15 year old understands English. :D Last time I saw him at Brunty, he'd grown. Good lad.

Very early this morning, the police helicopter was circling over near where I live. It came from, and went back, towards Bourne. Where is the police helicopter based please?

Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed just near me today to deal with a 2 vehicle RTA. Air Ambulance was not needed. Photos of the aircraft taken with permission of a police officer. Stood 30 metres from the aircraft when it took off, bowing towards us before leaving.

On Monday I saw a grey Navy Merlin helicopter
Then I saw a Twin Otter going out to the Isles of Scilly at 3000ft
Then I saw the same Twin Otter coming back from the Isles of Scilly at 4000ft

On Tuesday I saw a grey Navy Merlin helicopter
Then I saw a Twin Otter going out to the Isles of Scilly at 3000ft
Then I saw the same Twin Otter coming back from the Isles of Scilly at 4000ft

Today I saw a grey Navy Merlin helicopter AND a grey and red Navy SAR Sea King ....
Then I saw a Twin Otter going out to the Isles of Scilly at 3000ft
Then I saw the same Twin Otter coming back from the Isles of Scilly at 4000ft

Is there a pattern developing :D

But at least you haven't got to drive for 3 hours + to get to anything decent that's aviation orientated - I even have to drive for 90 minutes to get to a damn motorway :p :(
