Thank you for the January Update, Robert and a Happy New Year to you as well.

I am intrigued as to what the 'major development' announcement might be. I will just have to 'wait and see' like everybody else.

Seen 2 photos on Facebook that 82045 is now sat on her driving wheels. \:D/ \:D/
More information should be in the April newsletter.

We need a boiler, firebox, 2 pony trucks, 2 water tanks, coupling rods, brakes. :)
Can't think of anything else at the moment, but there must be more. ;)

Indeed, I know only too well that this is not even 'the end of the beginning...' (to part quote Sir Winston Churchill's famous WW2 words). A tremendous amount of works is still to be done. Progress seems to be going well though and I continue to look forward to seeing the ongoing photos. :)

I look forward to reading about progress of 82045 as well.
Hope that the restoration of the Southern locomotive will be finished soon.
Haven't seen anything of 257 Squadron yet on the cameras.

Thank you Robert for another interesting (and very significant) Update. Still a lot of work to be done and I hope that the money continues to come in, to achieve completion of the Locomotive in the timescale required by the SVR.

Thank you for the Update, Robert.

The question regarding 'Main Line Running' is always a tricky one. There are great benefits, but there are also great risks (particularly the possible financial penalties for any delays and disruptions to public service trains, eg: as a result of Locomotive failure, etc. Even 'New Builds' can develop problems). However, it is an exciting prospect!
