Strange that they know it went before 22nd Feb, but didn't mention it at all until last week AFAIK.

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Yes I heard 603 had lost hers.

Possibly a bit like Wickenby plaques, they didn't know when they went missing until a member of the public told them they weren't there when visited on a certain date.

It such a shame things have to be 'nailed down'

They were both there in November 2009, so they must have gone in the last days of BAe at Woodford or after the site was vacated. :( :(

P1 ~ a bit dark and somewhat obscured because the seat is set high, but it's definitely there.

The stolen part has now been returned. An unsuspecting person bought it and realised what it was and returned it in a parcel. Investigation ongoing!!

When we started working on 655 in the early 90s the captains stick had been sawn off. We found it in a local museum that will not be named and had to buy it back.
