Wellesbourne Wings and Wheels

Postby Sooty655 » Fri Jun 13, 2014 7:48 am

We've been cleaning, polishing, painting, servicing and even occasionally fettling all week getting XM655 ready for the big day on Sunday. We will have more exhibitors and classic vehicles than ever before. There will be a number of static aircraft and some notable arrivals and departures. The Large Model Association will be providing two special treats. Even the weather forecast is good, so there is no excuse for any of you.

See you all at Wellesbourne on Sunday.

XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

I refer my learned friend to the answer I gave earlier - which is still pertinent in these new circumstances.... ;)

And I meant that the exact answer I gave to hitching applied equally, and in the same measure, to walking :D :p :))

As promised I visited the Wellesbourne airfield again this evening. I knew that XM655 was to be moved across the airfield after the Citation jet operated by the boss of Munster Joinery had departed back to Ireland so I kept an eye on it using the airfield webcam (what? You didn't realise?) and I arrived just in time to record the move.

Looking forwards to an excellent weekend.

oh yes - here's a link to the webcam. Not that you'll see much of W&W I'm afraid.
