The Mail have always done good proactive articles & if it massages their egos to take credit for raising the outsatanding money so be it - personally I think it was combinded efforts of many more- but hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed. Let them carry on. If you look back, the pledge scheme receive more cash per day after TV and Newspaper coverage, than they had in the whole of the previous weeks ;)

TBH I do think it was the scramble that galvanised the media this time round, it gave the perfect excuse for supporters to bombard the local media which is where national media get the heads up.

from memory, this is the second or third time that "Daily Mail/Mail on Sunday readers" have saved 558 - bloody good job too, or i might have had to make a couple of 'phone calls! =))
