resignation

Postby Dlwbrunty » Tue Aug 28, 2012 6:31 pm

With immediate effect I am tendering my resignation from all aspects of the Vulcan to the sky club and any activities to do with fund raising for the trust. I am doing this for personal reasons, the main being that I feel spending time and personal expense "begging" for money to keep people in salaries is somewhat futile given the prognosis that XH558 has only a limited lifespan in airworthy condition. It is my intention, in the next few days to advise the suppliers I am dealing with apropo recycling etc of my decision and also I shall inform supporters of said decision via various fora.
Best wishes for the future.
The above with greater detail has been published on Vulcan forum.
Regards.

Trouble is DLW it takes some time to let that tin triangle go and get your personal life back together .Having got her in the press up there in Jockland in the early days before & after return to flight ,I can safely say it's hard to let go. Funnily enough I still give my contact in the press up there a prod regularly but now have not seen her in print for some time north of the border.

All the best & beware those withdrawal symptoms

I agree, but sadly its time to let go and move forwards. My current domestic situation and its financial restraints leave me no option. There always will be in my heart for her, like an old and trusted friend, along with the friends I have gained along the way. Aint planning on loosing touch; just cutting lose the bits I am no longer able to do.
Thanks.

I can't remember you NOT raising funds
for 558!

It must have been a difficult decision.....

At least you can be very proud of all
you've done :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
