it stated they have been told - but until I hear it from B/T to me it's not official

however at £950K+ I can't see it closing

AND i have to state I know first hand how the media put their own spin on things

Eddie just posted on the other forum saying...

"I just spoke with Michael Trotter and the plan is to update the home page as close to midday as is possible.

It may be a little later but there is every intention to ensure that users of this site are the first 'public' to get the news."

I'm like a crumbling mess at the minute, but...

I spoke to Andrew Edmondson yesterday as I was assisting Taff with the anti-det ground run, Andrew asked if I enjoyed it and would I like to join the airshow circuit this year... was that a yes she will fly?

HE SAY YES!!!

http://www.vulcantothesky.org/forums/to ... IC_ID=5273

Eddie's just posted "It might be a while before Robert's announcement reaches Paul for publication on the website, so here's what you've all be waiting to hear...

Although nearly £1M has been pledged, the project had no cash to continue operating long enough to start collecting that money and would have ceased operation today.

HOWEVER, Aerobytes & Judd Power have provided the immediate cash required to pay the wages for the coming month.

So long as the pledges are honoured, we all have a very noisy & splendid year to look forward to."

To give him his dues, Eddie has just posted this:

EddieF wrote:I'm only accepting responsibility for the first occasion - this latest event is attributable to something like ten thousand others too!

Edited - I am in no way implying that Aerobytes was the sole reason 558 returned to the skies in 2007 but I trust that this goes unsaid. Hopefully, you all appreciate the point though - this time round really was the spectacular result of around 10,000 individuals pulling together. Last time, we kind of took the place of a (smaller) pledge campaign which never happened - because time was against the project and because that route had been exhausted.
Life is what happens to you whilst you're busy making other plans...
