if my brother was going to join the forum I don't think you will want him now

He just asked while I was looking at those pictures "why the Vulcan, why not any other plane?"

Fantastic set of pictures - thank you for sharing them! :ymapplause:

What's the history / story behind the V-Force Volunteers plate sat above the AEO station? Not seen it in any of the other "inside" photos.

Thanks,

Gully

If you scroll through them piccies fast... it almost becomes a film in places. (It also gives you some idea of the size of Base Hanger at Brize.. ) Happy days.

Great to see, thanks for those :)

do't know what the story is but the names belong to the groundcrew who were on the VDF
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

From what I remember the names were put on there by Howard Bunton who use to paint the aircrew names on the entrance door, each year and as there was insufficient space for everyone an empty plate inside the cockpit was used.

When we rebuilt XH558 I recovered the panel and refitted it in memory of my past friends and to maintain part of it's history.

Is that what you sit and wait for so you can remind us how petty you can be?
