Well what do you know .. Peel are going ahead with closure despite possible rescue bids
Winding down come October.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-63033676Its always the same in these cases .. the greed of the huge cheque books vieing for the land for 'development' lures these sharks every time
I see the Vulcan that shall not be named has 'options' for movement to another site and they are even asking CAA about the possibility of a 'short' relocation flight...
So they have an iron in the fire somewhere nearby Doncaster it seems...
But I dont believe a word they say and the chances of them raising funds to move it are remote as they couldn't even raise money for a hangar.
Its all the same at Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre down here in Cornwall ... Cornwall Council foreclosing on them as they need the land for important 'redevelopment' (BIG MONEY!) so a lot of the precious airframes there will be lost
How will they move a VC10 or a BAC 111 etc etc
https://cornwallaviationhc.co.uk/https://www.change.org/p/save-cornwall-aviation-heritage-centre20000 signatures and still Cornwall Council are unmoved .. it will close end of October it seems.
