Will the Guppy be open tomorrow? It's been a while since I visited.
I'd rather be skiing

Bit late, now, but she should have been open. Neil was there, working on her.

The door was open but I didn't want to go in with no-one actually there. Although there were people nearby. So only viewed from outside.

Lots!

Get a load of the fuselage, below the cheat line!

Anti corrosion work is continuing at a good, if not breath taking, pace. I've been laid up for 5 weeks with a ruptured disc, but, the others have been doing very well!

Some of you may know that I built the original website for the Guppy restoration project at Brunty a few years ago, like me it had become a bit scruffy and out of date so I spent 2 half days building a new one, here's the link:

http://www.superguppy.co.uk/

hope you like it

Very brief summary of the past however long:

One side (Starboard) is finished. All colours done, all anti corrosion is done. She's looking very tidy!

Made a start on t'other side. The corrosion is quite a bit worse so it's taking a fair bit more effort.

She's been moved, temporarily. Expect to be in a new, permanent, home before Christmas.

That's about y'lot :)

If anyone has a means of contacting Danforth, please let me know. I lost his email address in a huge I.T. catastrophe. Cheers

Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

The Guppy cockpit has gone to SWAM, together with the cockpit of an Olympic 747.

Picture here.

Very sad but at least some survives.

Grateful that I was able to have a few visits to the complete aircraft.

Thanks to those that made that possible.

Yep, cut up and moved. We weren't even told by the owner. Heard it third hand.

It's left a very bitter taste.

The plan was to instantly take on another project, but we all fell out of love with it and found other things to do.

A very sad end, a lot of bridges burned and a few friendships lost forever.
