Oli I will probably be there on Friday as my better half has expressed a desire for us to take my granddaughters there for a picnic. We did this 2 years ago and found a friendly farmer who let us park in his field for £3 all day.. This was x yards from the Whelford, Kempsford Road end ;)

Meant to be going on Sunday but very much depends on the weather. If its bad I may not bother, I'm only really going for 558 and the A-10 Thunderbolt..

Had a great day at Fairford's park and view today. From when we arrived at 10.30am until we left at 3.00pm it was none stop action.Highlights for me were the Typhoon, A10 but the best was the C27 Spartan, the pilot of that areoplane really does know how to please the crowd with loops and barrel rolls which were fantastic to watch :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: . XH558 turned up and did a practice display at Kemble???? which we could just see over in the distance but surely if they had done it over Fairford and then sent round some donation buckets they would of got thousands £££££££.

Pretty crap weather by all accounts - really p'ing it down...

..if it's any consolation I think it's pretty much all of the UK is the same at minute but there is hopes it will start to clear early afternoon.

Chucked it down here this morning but now have bright blue skies and fluffy white clouds!! BBC radar showed a clear patch over Fairford this afternoon so fingers crossed for todays afternoon displays.

Tomorrow looks like rain pretty much solid all afternoon. I'll take a decision first thing in the morning I think although I reckon its pretty high odds I wont be going :(

At least last year there were a few dry patches, not looking as good tomorrow. Year before the year before was nice. I even got sunburnt... :))

Anyone know what time the A-10 is displaying?? Trying to decide whether or not to go. Met check reckons 98% cloud and some rain. Not really ideal :(

Got there when it began to REALLY rain! It did so for about 2 hours then eased off.

The Dutch Apache did its display in the cloudy sky over Fairford, providing a few 'rotor swirls' (the condensation trail things at the ends of the blades)

After that the sun appeared!

The A-10 broke during the display ( we think he went too fast ) and had to land after only 3 passes :(

and then my camera decided that it doesn't like my Image Stabilizing lens and stopped working while displaying the message 'Err 01'

↑ mind you that was only on the last display (could've been way worse ;) )

Hmm if the A-10 broke it may not be displaying tomorrow. Other than 558 thats the only thing I want to see :(

What time did it display today? Or start to display?

Camera says 2:30 PM

But if you plan on going tomorrow it will almost certainly be a different time.

I would find our programme but it's a mess. (The rain got to it)
