Let me know preferences and I'll amend the thread title when we agree.

My thoughts for the datum point was regardless of where you are it's the minimum distance to walk, rather than find yourself at one end of the flight line and then have to walk all the way back.

Helen! :D (Because she should have arrived by then)

I'm going up Friday (watch arrivals if I'm early enough), and plan to go in Saturday and probably watch from outside somewhere Sunday, and go home Monday.
I'd rather be skiing

I was hoping to be in the arrivals car park on Friday, but last year we didn't get there till 11:30 :)) so may end up in our secret location where we watch departures from ;)

Saturday I'll be watching from my kitchen \:D/ :D

Sunday I'll be going where ever I'm told as last year I was meant to meet mum at the VV but it turned out to be the other end of the crowd line to where we were parked (where the AWACS live) and she gave up looking at the control tower and went back to the car =))
And I ended up with a massive blister :((
So I'll probably not be wandering anywhere this year. will find a spot and stay there, sorry :p :)) :)) .

And we always get there for the gates opening at about 8am ish :p =))

The WAVE is normally closed on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, parking is on the airfield! ;)

It is currently planned that the W.A.V.E. will be closed from Thursday the 30th of June until re-opening on Tuesday the 5th of July! ;)

The Monday is the subject of discussion as the Operator of the W.A.V.E. is hopeful of being allowed to open for the departures! :ymapplause:
