Waddington is easy - Only half the length of RIAT flight line to walk, best places either behind the Tower next to the Hurricane Stand or at the VV and depending where they are will depend on the best place.

Oh and I'll be there Thurs - Mon hopefully :D

Last year the VV was right at the other end (to where we parked anyway) and I didn't find the damn thing till lunch time =))
And my poor mum didn't find it at all =)) she didn't want to do the static with me, so we split up and agreed to meet at the VV and she gave up trying to find it after getting as far as the tower and not finding it =))

I thought most if not all airshow programmes had maps to show where everything is situated! :-o

I have the 2010 map/leaflet and 2010 program on my knee right now (thanks to my mum keeping all that stuff :D ) and I can't see it listed where it turned out to be located (if you know what I mean), the loos are listed :)) but not names of trade stands.

You have the basis of a good idea there, BUT I couldn't possibly ONLY have ONE! ;)

Waddo Meet up - new thread...

Postby Mayfly » Mon Jun 20, 2011 10:21 am

So all concerned can see...thanks to Nick for nominating me!! ~x( :)) :)) :))

I suggest

Next to the HURRICANE STAND which is slightly left of the ATC TOWER [looking toward the runway] on the crowd line or near as we can get as it's very near to the display datum.

click on the map - [you will see 3 knife and forks symbols runway side of the centre set]
http://www.waddingtonairshow.co.uk/programme

Display flying starts at 10 so what time would be best to meet - makes no difference to me but would suggest start of flying 10-10.30 or lunch time 1-2 as it's the quiet hour also close to eating stalls for anyone wanting to buy stuff, it will also give Helen time to get there!!!

Bear in mind neither of these times will get anyone very close to the crowd line [unless lady luck is on our side] as that will be packed from 8 - 8.30 onwards or one of us just happens to be there early.
