I think it's about time they dropped all of the equestrian events from the Olympics.

If the rider gets a medal they've done well, if he doesn't it's the horses fault!

All the other events require human skill, muscle power, good judgement, tactics and supreme fitness.

Sorry, Dave, I disagree.......

Ask anyone who's just spent some time
on a horse in ANY type of competition
whether they think it's an athletic pursuit.......

They will wipe the perspiration from their
eyes and say: "WHAT?"

You just don't have the direct experience
to make that kind of judgement, DXP.....

Your experience is only as a spectator....

Still think they should remove it from the celebrtion of human athletic endeavour!

How is a HORSE any different (other than
being a living thing) from a canoe, kayak,
bicycle, rowboat, sailboat or, for that matter,
a firearm?

Shall we throw them all out, too?

No, they are inanimate, they work to the best of their design!

Take out the horses, they are the only animal used!

I vote for taking out beach volleyball - pointless unless it's actually on a beach!

The competitor USES what he has in
many olympic competitions to do the
best performance he/she can.....

An HORSE is no different from a Bow
and Arrow except you don't have to
feed or train the bow and arrow or take
it to the Vet :D

C'mon, Dave.....

You're just being DIFFICULT!

How Unlike You :p

Some of you might not "get" this, but
I was told by my friend Kenny to watch
this young black man during the Olympics.....

So I DID!

It doesn't matter what country he's from, but
to ME this is what the games are all about::::::::

http://msn.foxsports.com/olympics/wrestling/story/jordan-burroughs-wins-gold-for-united-states-in-74-kilogram-calls-own-shot-081012

I watched his matches and followed his progress
and he is JUST what you want to see in a
CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and BTW, I think GBR can safely claim already
"Most Gold Medals Per-Capita" :D :D :D :D :D

Or perhaps "Most Gold Medals Per Square Kilometers" :p

Your country's performance has been OUTSTANDING! :ymapplause:

And it's Not Over Yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Usaine Bolt on his double and the USA girlies relay on breaking a 27 year old record.

Talking of relay teams what a mess the Brit men made of their baton change, for goodness sake it's the fundamentals of relay racing!!! ~x(
