Olympic football .HAHAHAH WOT a farce Get your tickets on match day pay months in advance ,I'm not there I have to say but it looks like most of todays crowd were still queueing after the match's were over to get their tickets to get in to said matches here in Newcastle .
They are saying on the news right now that todays mistakes (of opening the box office to issue tickets OVER an hour late)won't happen next time they hope .Seems a lot of Olympic officals were inside the ground trying to make sure the games happened (never mind the crowd of fans outside trying to get in to watch them.

My view of the Olympic Games will be obscured by the off button .Got better things to do now I'm back on my feet.

Well watched the opening schenanigans it was rather blue and then the Olympic flag came on and they just had to bring on Muhamod Ali( I am the greatest) He was in his own right as well.Even my wife asked why do they do that to such a good man .Was it just because he was a gold medal winner,I have every respect for him as a man and a boxer but to dust him off and wheel him out like that I feel was not right.OH yes and can anyone explain why it seemed to be only the military that handled the flags not athlets as before ?

In all there were no surprises and it seemed very mediocur ,To blue to dull and uninteresting .Marks out of 10 = 3

Had no internet for most of yesterday so I sat in front of the TV watching the Olympics, so far I have actually enjoyed it. I really liked the opening ceremony and watching the sports was quite fun actually :)

Apart from the appalling coverage and indexing on BBC - their choices on the Red button bear no resembalance to what is actully being broadcast ~x( I'm enjoying the cycling and rowing.

Is that similar to the triathlon idea? ;)

Congrats to Becky Addlington

Our ladies pair sculls did well yesterday. Took 6secs off the record and they never broke a sweat with only 33 strokes per minute. Fingers crossed for the final.

Well done out male gymnastics team with silver bronze.

Commiserations to Tom Daley and Pete Waterfield the first 3 dives were brilliant but I guess consistently achieving 6 brilliant dives is Gold medal material.

~x( Have just watched some of the equestrian content.

I went out to the kitchen and returned moments later to an interview with ~x( Zara Phillips ~x( who in my eyes should get a gold medal for the over use of the "NON" word YOUKNOW!

At one stage she was using it as every fourth word! ~x(

I agree with your annoyance, Dave, but
it's a reflex mechanism that happens
under stress with people who aren't used
to being interviewed....

It allows the OTHER words to keep flowing
so the interviewee doesn't get tongue-tied.....

I tend to try to ignore it now, but it used
to piss the CRAP out of me X(

How did she do otherwise?

I know she's probably gotten more attention
lately than she's accustomed to....

I wouldn't be a "ROYAL" for anything!

Well she looked good in the Jodhpurs! ;)

I'm now waiting for the usual comments re; how well the rider coped if they do win the silver medal and how badly the horse performed if they don't! :-o
