Got to agree, HH. Saw the last race yesterday - now that is racing. Even the Clio Cup was exciting. It's a shame F1 isn't as gripping....it used to be.

From Sky F1's FB page .
We have just heard that a Sahara Force India Formula One Team hire car was caught up a petrol bomb incident earlier this evening! At least 1 team member involved has asked to be flown home as soon as possible.

Nothing on the Sky F1 website this morning, and not mentioned by the BBC who had a live report from Bahrain, so maybe it's a case of A**ebook Strikes Again. :-?

So do I Helen, this season is turning out to be a classic! Four races, four different winners representing four different teams - the first time that's happened since the eighties isn't it? Some really exciting races, plenty of overtaking and good wheel to wheel action. Pleased to see the 2nd/3rd finishes in Bahrain for the Lotus cars (formerly known as Renualt, Benetton, Toleman...) to break up the Red Bull/McClaren/Ferrari dominance too...

WOW, Lewis Hamilton will start from the back of the grid after being excluded from qualifying, Pastor Maldonado will start from pole :ymapplause: .
If you haven't heard about it yet, McLaren did not put enough fuel in the car for the qualifying lap and stopped the car deliberately to ensure it had sample for the FIA. Stewards rejected McLaren's argument of 'force majeure' that a team member had put an "unsufficient quantity of fuel into the car".

I do love a mixed up grid ;) :D

Freudian slip, I know he's in a wheel chair but you shouldn't rub it in Helen! :-o

It certainly is a mixed up grid! Williams, Ferrari, Lotus, Sauber and Mercedes all have cars in front of both McLarens and both Red Bulls. Poor old Massa and Senna (not to mention their fans in Brazil) how must they be feeling tonight in 17th and 18th!!!

Pastor Maldonado wins the Grand Prix. Williams garage catches fire at about 4pm. Thick black smoke poured out. A few people were injured.

The season just gets better and better - five different winners from five different teams!

Great race too, hoping for many more of the same quality! :ymapplause:

Over the moon for the Williams team and Pastor :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

But devastated for them with the fire they had, horrible :(

Still waiting for an official statement from Williams, it was due a about now, Caterham have said 4 or their team hurt, 1 minor hand injury and 3 for smoke inhalation. Force India have said one of their team is also suffering smoke inhalation.

But In other news, Michael Schumacher has been given a five place grid penalty for the Monaco GP for his crash with Bruno Senna

What a great race! It's such a shame how the weekend ended, Sky and the BBC have some footage:

Great race indeed, now that the teams are much closer performance wise(ish), they just need to get a different scoring system to make it even more `watchable`........... :D

No set points for each top ten position, in my book all drivers who bring the car home should get points ;)

So, if 18 drivers finish, the winner gets 18 points, and the 18th gets 1 point, and all drivers in between get points accordingly, this way it will be imposible to predict the `champion` with only a few races to go.... :)

I agree with that and it may motivate those towards the back to fight a bit harder and make the races more thrilling !

Looking forward to the Singapore GP after I missed the last two races while at work... :)

The street circuits add a much needed variety to the season, and this one's at night too!

Rumoured for a while but expected to be announced later today -

Lewis Hamilton has left McLaren and is joining Mercedes next year.

Here
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.
