I still can't understand why there are so many people advertising the small size of their genitalia on houses and cars! :-o

This is how to handle a car. Not like those soft girlies in Scalextric.

Well I guess Germany's demolition of Argentina makes it a little easier to swallow now.

Still have very strong views with regard to the the Premiership and the English game, but that's a subject for another day, I'm very much over the World Cup now. In fact, I think I was over it when Heskey came on and the 4th went in!

And now Fergusson says Rooney is WARMING UP for 2014!

England have only just flown home and the semi-finals haven't even been played yet but already the talk is about Wayne Rooney and how he can be the player of the tournament in Brazil in four years' time.

Just like he wasn't in South Africa 2010, of course.

But this is no wildly optimistic England fan making such a bold statement. Instead the debate-sparking words came from the mouth of a Scotsman: Sir Alex Ferguson.

And Rooney's club boss at Manchester United also had opinions on why everyone else in Fabio Capello's squad failed to rise to the occasion as well.

"There was talk of him being the player of the tournament," Ferguson recalls in an interview with The Sun. "The prelude to the whole thing was that he was going to be the star.

"He was going to outshine Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, all of them. That's where the level of expectation comes into it. But he's not got great experience of a World Cup really. You wait, in four years' time you'll see a different player."

Well, he could hardly do any worse I suppose.

Ferguson went on to add that a dismal campaign that saw them scrape draws with the USA and Algeria and then squeeze past minnows Slovenia before being out-played by Germany in the round of 16 had been on the cards ever since England were handed an easy qualification group.

"I watched the games too and I was baffled by what I saw, but I wasn't totally surprised," he said. "There were a lot of factors but don't forget none of the English team have any experience of playing in the semi-finals.

"There was a big expectation. They qualified from a group which you'd have to say was a million to one that they wouldn't qualify. So it was an easy passage into the finals.

It's hard to believe he'll even be playing football in 4 years time!

Don't forget that Ferguson HAS to talk-up Rooney - his perceived "value" pays the interest on ManU's debts, and the small change pays Ferguson's wages.

I would have thought that the only way to "DO WORSE" would be failing to qualify!!!!

There are some men playing some game which resembles football on BBC1 at the moment. I'm unfamiliar with it though, they seem to be trying!
