3.9 Subscribers Required

Postby Wedgy » Fri Jul 22, 2011 1:58 pm

Unfortunately, although a bit delayed, circumstances and the recession have finally hit IA.

In October 2010, I ask for some help with donations (http://www.iconicaircraft.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3662) which were gratefully received. We were put back into a good financial position and were able to give a small donation in February 2011.

Unfortunately, donations aren’t a regular source of income and we’ve always been £2-£3 short on subscriptions each month, which has to be covered by these one off donations.
Recently we lost a subscriber and the new server was slightly more expensive per month, which has now pushed our monthly deficit to £6.70.

Given that we haven’t had 1 donation in 6 months, this pot has slowly reduced, now to the point that we have just over 1 months server fee’s left, or just over 4 months of deficit cover – however you want to look at it.

Our financial needs are very simple. These days it’s purely a monthly server fee and annual domain name registration fees.

My appeal (as per thread title) is really for anyone considering a subscription to IA, to act now. As I’ve always said, donations are always appreciated but these subscriptions offer the financial stability IA needs.

Unlike donations, a subscription does require a Paypal account, but be assured these monthly payments can be cancelled at any time with just a few clicks.

Thanks for reading what turned into a less concise post than I anticipated ;)

Thought I was a subscriber but apparently not, so I am now, plus a small donation to make up for being a slack git since becoming a member :p

Once again, I'm humbled by the response - thank you :) :ymapplause:

Funds are good and we have 2 new subscribers. Longer term, if I'm very honest, I would be comfortable if we had 2 further subscribers to guarantee monthly income.

I've just found this. Wedgy is my monthly subscription going through OK - I know there was a slight blip for some reason last month I think? Have locked myself out of my online banking again ~x( so can't check right now.

You're all good Mags - many thanks :ymapplause:

How are we doing, Wedgy? The funding status clock doesn't seem to move anymore. Does that mean an equilibrium, or is it you can't be bothered to wiggle it? :D

Both :P

We're pretty much comfortable and static funds wise, but the meter should be reading a little higher ;)
