Postby Leebee0 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 6:34 pm

Hi all

Today saw the official launch of the RAF Cosford Airshow which will take place on 08th June 2014. There was a small but interesting Static line up including Base Aircraft and visiting Aircraft.

One of the big revels for today is that the Canberra PR.9 and Hunter T7 are booked and on the flying programme :)

The static line up is as follows :- (D) Display (S) Static (V) Visiting

- Autogyro G-ULUL (D)

- CASA Jungmann G-BZJV (D)

- CASA Jungmann G-CDJU (D)

- Sepecat Jaguar T4 XX840 EY (S)

- Sepecat Jaguar GR3A XX119 AI (S)

- Scottish Aviation Bulldog XX626 (V)

- Shorts Tucarno T1 ZF374 (V)

- BAE Systems Harrier GR9 ZD465 (S)

- BAE Systems Harrier GR3 XZ991 (S)

So here are some of my pics from today. I must give a big shout out to the man at RAF Cosford who help me get some of these shots

Any news on a flying Harrier yet?

Thinking I may give Cosford a miss this year and go for Waddo instead.

Well no news yet on the harriers flying but I am told there is a big anouccment due shortly which will be for the enthusiast and may tie in with a big anouccment waddo are about to make?

They did extend the flying on Friday 24th April to include Vulcan XH558,C17 and voyager making Cosford now the only airshow anywhere with these aircraft in the flying display I think.

So shaping up to be a great show also now will have almost every mark of Harrier lined up next to each other and Jags taxing again makes it a unique show :-)

Cheers

Lee.
