Postby RobCM17 » Sat Dec 20, 2008 5:35 pm

Hi all,

Here's a small selection of photos from this years Farnborough International Airshow. These were all taken with my Pentax K10D and 55-300mm lens.

This one was taken with a Sigma 135-400mm lens and probably the worst lens I have ever owned...thankfully not in my possession anymore!

Here's a couple of the reds that my son took at Farnborough. They haven't been touched up, it was a day of strange light and strong contrasts.

Bringing back some really good memories for me. It was a great weekend. I did the Friday. Saw 558 strut her stuff and stream the chute on landing. It was so good I stuck around for a second viewing on Saturday.

My vids from Friday:-

558:-

Reds:-

Excellent videos Mr Tim :D.

Were you using a Tri-pod whilst filming those ? (and just HOW do you judge where the Reds' crossovers will be..lol).

I just ended up with a mess at attempting to guess it :(

Agreed, excellent vids Mr Tim ;) Giving Cluny a run for his money? :))

It still amazes me seeing the A380 at airshows ... just how darn manoeuvrable they are :)

No tripod, but I was leaning on a wheelie bin, which helped a bit :)

The slow pass was incredibly sloooooooooowwwwww !! This video at 3.00 in - does not do it justice. It's got to be seen to be believed ;)

We stayed put at where 558 was located, and got showered with grass cuttings for a good few minutes after the Airbus took off :D

It was incrdeible how the damn thing got off the ground. When she left after the show on Sunday, we watched her for ages, and she didn't seem to get any smaller. Very impressive.
