Yes I was standing expectantly on the beach in Hayle ....... but didn't see one :D :D :p

I wasn't really - I watched it live on the laptop ...nothing EVER comes down this far ;)

Astonishingly there were ....
26 Merlin Powered Spitfires (4 of which are Mk 1s)
1 Merlin Powered Seafire
5 Griffon Powered Spitfires
7 Hurricanes
1 Sea Hurricane
1 Blenheim

In one of the Boultbee Academy T9 2 seat Spitfires was 95 year old Wing Commander Thomas Francis "Ginger" Neil, DFC*, AFC, AE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Neil one of the last surviving Battle of Britain Aces :ymapplause:

Thank you David for posting all the info', plus the YouTube clip. Unfortunately, this year I was away for 'Battle of Britain Day'. MW and I were in an area not covered by the Flypasts, therefore it was good just to be able to 'get a flavour' of the commemorations for the 75th Anniversary. (However, I did make sure that I took my RAF Ensign with me to display on 15th September, as is my tradition each year, in honour and appreciation of 'The Few').
