IA 'Aviation Talk' Month

Postby Wedgy » Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:13 pm

IA is loved for the light hearted banter and free and easy chat. The 'Anything Else' area is at the heart of the forums.

But lets, for the month of March make a concerted effort to 'do as it says on the tin' and talk a little more about aviation ;).

Threads like (and not limited to) these are fantastic reads:

Contribute to an existing thread
Talk about something you've read.
Re-live memories of an aircraft.
Talk about the upcoming air show season (558's schedule etc)

The possibilities are endless :D

I cannot tell you people what to talk about ;) But take this as a little subliminal suggestion to swell the aviation area ;)

As part of this month of Aviation Chat, why not take the opportunity to refer a friend to IconicAircraft, add our link to your email signature or other forums signature settings.
Links and word of mouth are the only way IconicAircraft will grow and because of the wonders of the internet, you have just has much power to help us grow, as I do ;)

Good point Wedgy - I understand you completely - I have often thought the same :D
I've tried a couple of threads - one of the ones you quoted was mine - but see how short it is. When you've said 'This is a nice Bristol Britannia - and everyone agrees - 'yes that is a nice Bristol Britannia' you sort of - come to a halt. :(

May be I'll try Spitfires then :D :D :D :D

Oh yes :) :ymapplause:

In fact, the "Forum Ranks Revisited" thread shows people are passionate about certain aircraft and not others. Start a thread stating why, its history, why its special etc.
Just take the Mustang .... the uproar about it not being included in the ranks :D

In fact, I REFUSE to add it to the ranks until someone starts a thread about it :D :ymdevil: [-x :o)

As we've said before Tom, you friends are welcome if they are truely interested in aviation. But we already have a teenage spammer and we only have enough love for one of you ;)
