Jubilee Flypast

Postby Mayfly » Thu Jun 02, 2022 9:11 pm

Stood on the banks of the river Bain and watched 17 Typhoons take off streaming one after another, It was brilliant. The noise was tremendous.

The Lanc also took off shortly before followed by the fighters, that was an emotional moment for me and took me back to the days when David use to lead the flypasts over Buck House.
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

In the wrong part of the country to see any of it live, but I watched it on tv after following the build-up on adsbexchange. Very impressive, and we still managed to keep a good presence over eastern Europe at the same time. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.
When we make noise, WE MAKE NOIZE ! !

Yes, a brilliant Flypast. The Lancaster, with a Spitfire and Hurricane either side was truly amazing. The 'Battle of Britain Memorial Flight' is always the 'highlight' for me.

We had a bit of a treat at home, with all the helicopters returning overhead.

I saw a few photos online after everything had finished (as usual for me) as I couldn't see it live (in person or on the TV). I haven't been to Coningsby since 24 April 2012. Last time I saw the Lancaster was in 2017. Sorry. :((

I watched it from The Mall. Quite impressive.
I'd rather be skiing
