Problems loading?

Postby Mayfly » Mon Feb 06, 2012 8:28 pm

Has anyone had problems loading IA? It has been taking me a while for a couple of days but it seems to be taking longer and longer.....and now only half a page is loading then hanging before loading the rest - I haven't a problem with the other sites

you can see from the photo the scroll bar on the right is down to the bottom ........

I had a problem loading topics earlier, but it worked OK soon after.
I take that back. Took ages to reload the New Posts page, and then didn't load all of it.

Seems OK for me.

I have had the same issues over the last week or so. I carried out several Broadband speedtests though and found that my 47Mbps connection had dropped to 0.78Mbps. I restarted the BT hub and all was well again. I now have to do this on a daily basis. I am putting off using the BT Broadband helpline because I know my blood pressure will hit record levels..

The only service interruption I can see was early yesterday morning between 05:00 and 06:30.

The server is either connected or not, so puzzled by your issue Mayfly. Minty's post is typical of catching IA when the server is about to go down. Or RLN's post when IA just isn't there (as I noticed myself yesterday morning). But if your issue has been over a matter of days and especially the partial loading of pages, it could be a local issue with your PC (cookies or cache for IA maybe corrupt) - usual tip of clearing these may help :)

Nothing particularly unusual at this end! ;)

IA has been very very slow to load for me this evening. All other websites accessed seem normal, so I don't think it is me/my system. ~x( :(

Every once in a while IA will either
not let me in or dump me out in the
middle of things but I haven't seen
anything out of the ordinary over the
past few days.........

Even when these minor disruptions
happen, it's never for very long....

So of course, now that I've said THAT.........

I'll see you all in March sometime :D

I do occasionally get the forum "hanging" as I go from page to page. When I was dealing with a spammer and moving to and fro between topics, it was hanging quite a bit. Doesn't do it all the time; doesn't seem to be a pattern either.
