2-3 times over the last couple of days I'm sure I hit the submit button but my post hasn't appeared - am I losing it or has anyone else had problems ~x(

Okay, that wouldn't fit my theory :(

Don't want to sound patronising, but I need to eliminate another theory before I take the forum code apart ....
When you posted, are you 100% sure you got the "This message has been posted successfully." message before you clicked somewhere else or pressed the back button? The forums have a neat bit of code where if there has been a new post while you have been composing yours, it will warn you and give you an extra chance to change your post before actually submitting it to the database. As the forums are getting busier and busier this is now more likely to happen - I might need to review which areas have this functionality and which do not, e.g. fun and games.

this is reason I didn't mention it before because I thought it may be the case....but last night I know for a fact that no-one else had posted - however to be totally honest I can't say for sure that I didn't jump the gun & click elsewhere, but will give more time in future before I do...........

Righty ho :) I have a plan :D

I have 3 theories, so will try one at a time (each one is more serious than the previous one), so lets try the nicest one first :D

Anyone let me know if they have troubles with posts not posting in the coming week (up to 20th Feb).

Will bookmark this topic and revisit next friday :)

(would still like to hear from anyone who has had similar experiences in the past, but please make it clear it was prior to today ;) )

So when you press "Save" instead of "Submit", nothing appears here? .....

(ive looked in the database, and you have 2 drafts saved from the driving standards thread (cannot see what the content of the post is)

Nothing looks untoward.
Can you give me a bit more info. Example thread and post (point me to a post if you re-posted straight away, if not, just the time will do ;) )

Anyone else had this tonight?
