It has happened about 4 times to me in the past week. Strangely it has been after my laptop has crashed.
Thermal compound and strip/clean tomorrow (might do the laptop as well) ;)

Ive monitored the database for 24 hours and can definitely say someone is trying something ;)
It seems to be the same names too - half are inactive so wouldn't notice. Olicat and Hihonyr8811 keep appearing with many login attempts.

I'm just way to popular for my own good =)) =))

Look, who ever you are, I have no money and my passwords are not the same as each other and most of the time I have trouble remembering them myself, so just give up already or I'll set next doors cat on you :p :)) =))

But because I am paranoid I'm off to change all my passwords just in case :))

A good reminder for all to make sure their passwords as beefed up -

one of the larger forums was hacked a year or so ago and they got in through members who used their user name as their password too! They believe it was trial and error but hacked into 67 accounts.

I know you shouldn't, but I have to write my passwords down as I make them probably too complicated :))
I'm always forgetting them.

Ooh Wedgy, can you trace the IP adresses and drop a 2000lb JDAM on the house?

Oh I think a bomb would be a good idea, just something a little bit more thoughtful! :-o

In the 2nd Gulf War the RAF dropped some concrete filled thousand pounders in to the top of Sadams buildings, NO explosive, so NO massive damage, BUT the buildings were evacuated and everyone knew that a LIVE one could be following shortly!

Sort of firing a warning shot! ;) :D

It had exactly the right effect, plenty of damage and collapsed floors BUT NO DAMAGE outside of the building! :D

I bet it made a lot of noise after arriving at nearly the speed of sound and then rattling around bouncing off walls and floors! :D

Pretty clever tactic really, especially given Sadam's penchant for human shields. Would minimise civilian casualties

Should have contained PORK. No collateral damage and they'd NEVER enter the building again EVER.

Just happened to me again. I ran CCleaner so had to log in again, and it immediately said max log in attempts exceeded, and made me do the Captcha. Somebody trying to hack in? :-?
