Why are times shown as 1 hr earlier ? (time of posting this is 23.54 gmt)

23:56 BST here

ETA: Which is right looking at the time on the post. We're not on GMT until Sunday ;)

If there are any time differences, check your Profile --> Board settings.

Make sure the timezone is correct and that "Summer Time/DST is in effect: " is selected :D

I have overall control over the forums timezone and Summer time etc, which sets the defaults for users profiles. It will be interesting on Sunday when I change those settings - will it change everyones, or will you all have to do it manually? We will see :D

You are right though, the server time is wrong by 63 seconds (SM will be cursing this!). Unfortunately I cannot correct this yet (see "Backend issues" thread ;) )
