Today is the 100th Anniversary of Britain joining the conflict of World War I. There will be an official turning off of lights, in various parts of the Country, between from 10pm until 11pm. This is to mark the Anniversary of this moment. People are also being encouraged to do the same at home tonight and leave just a candle (or one light) lit during this period.
