'We Are Rail Fans'

Postby 34053 » Sun Sep 29, 2013 3:15 pm

Here is a short Youtube clip, narrated by Sean Bean, which I think you will enjoy:

I recognised 'The Rocky Moutaineer' and 'The Canadian' Trans-Canada trains, amongst others. How many can you spot?

My grateful thanks to Nickt for directing me to this clip.

Mama Wedgy and I did the Banff to Vancouver route on the 'Rocky Mountaineer' a couple of years ago. Fantastic; a real 'holiday of a lifetime'.

Back in the "Old Days" here in Maine,
you could pick up the transcontinental
CN Rail train at several points where
it crossed our state, and my Sister and
Brother-In-Law caught it in the little
town of Greenville on their Honeymoon :D

They went all the way to Vancouver and
back, and this was way back in September
of 1969 :D

It is a trip they Still Talk About 44 years
later!

Not a bad way to celebrate a marriage, eh?

Danf.
I like to do my planning retroactively!
