Waterloo: The Final Years of Steam

Postby 34053 » Sat Feb 16, 2013 4:41 pm

I was scanning through some YouTube clips this morning when I came across this one. It is an interesting look, outside Waterloo Station, of some Steam Locomotives leaving and entering the Station in the mid/late 60's. Some nice shots of a few 'Bulleid' Pacifics (I couldn't quite make out if one of them could have been 34053 'Sir Keith Park' ;) ):

That brings back memories as a child stood on platforms and bridges in London with my dad.

My 'Patch' was at the end of the Platforms at Clapham Junction (and sometimes at Waterloo). Aaaahhh, Happy Days.

Here is another YouTube clip that I found, filmed at 'the Junction':

My grandparents lived at Clapham so the junction was a regular haunt along with Fenchurch street and kings cross.....
