Here's another date for your Diary:

Swanage Railway 'Grand Steam Gala and Vintage Transport Rally': Friday 9th to Sunday 11th September.

Visiting Locomotives will be:
- 4492 'Dominion of New Zealand' (better known as 'A4' 60019 'Bittern', but in Garter Blue and with full valances over the wheels).

- GNR 'N2' 1744

'All available 'Resident Locomotives' will be in steam', including the Bulleid 'Pacifics': 34028 'Eddystone' and 34070 'Manston'.

There will also be a 'Vintage Transport Rally' at Harman's Cross, with displays of classic cars, motorbikes, commercial and staionary engines.

Thanks P.W. I'm hoping you will go along as our "CORRESPONDENT" and return with your usual quality reports! :ymapplause:

But please go to SWANAGE! ;)

Very sorry but, as much as I would love to be there if I could, 'no-can-do' this weekend, as I have other committments. I will have to rely on the 'official' pics, when they are released by the Swanage Railway.

As I was unable to attend last weekend's Autumn Gala in person here, as promised, is the link to the 'official' photos on the Swanage Railway website (well worth a look):
