Tony

I'm a great fan of these short videos that give a taste of the experience, BUT don't go on for 10 minutes showing the same view! :ymapplause:

Marvellous stuff! :D

Seeing as you asked so nicely here is a clip of Wadebridge leaving Alresford. I'll update this post in a while to add one other clip taken at speed on the line :)

Right, here is the second clip. Apologies for the wind noise, its just a compact camera so it does tend to suffer a bit. Anyways hopefully you should be able to hear a bit of the 3 cylinder beat :)

Makes you wonder how many men it
took to dig that trench and how long
it took 'em to dig it back in the "Good
Old Days"........

Glad they did it, though.........

Upcoming 'Tornado' Main Line Steam Excursion is the 'Cathedrals Express' on Saturday 10th March, with 'Tornado' running from London Paddington to Taunton and return. The plan is to have 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' double heading with 'Tornado' from Taunton to Plymouth and return, but this is still 'to be confirmed' at the moment. (Otherwise, 'Tornado' will do the Plymouth 'Leg' alone). No final 'Timings' yet released. I will keep you informed.

Unfortunately, the eagerly anticipated 'double heading' of 60163 'Tornado' with 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' on the 10th March will not now happen, due to 71000 being 'unavailable'. So 60163 will be solely in charge (apart from a Class 66 Diesel Loco' behind 'Tornado' for the Exeter to Plymouth - and return - Leg!). Here are the latest 'Network Rail' details of the Timngs and Route:

http://www.steamdreams.co.uk/executable ... de=Timings

The next Main Line Excursion hauled by 'Tornado' will be 'The Cathedrals Express' on 29th March (Kings Cross-York-Kings Cross). Further info' will follow in due course.

I shall (hopefully) be going behind her from Lewes to Oxford in July. She was meant to be at the Bluebell for 50th Anniversary but did not show due to those boiler repairs.
I'd rather be skiing
